Horseshoe Theater

The Horseshoe Theater in North Hollywood, California is one of Los Angeles’ most historic landmarks. It was built in 1926 by silent movie star Tom Mix but abandoned in the 60s.

It opened back up again in 2015, after being restored to its original grandeur, and is now operated by the City of Los Angeles as a venue for live events.

The Horseshoe Theater in North Hollywood, California is probably best known for being the place where Jim Morrison met up with his girlfriend Pamela Courson before leaving on a trip to Paris. The two were seen drinking and kissing inside the venue, by an acquaintance of Morrison’s who was apparently close enough to tell police about their activities.
