Fort MacArthur Museum

Why is Fort MacArthur Museum the best place to visit?

You can find out what life was like at the turn of the century by visiting this historical landmark. This museum offers a glimpse into history through interactive exhibits, authentic artifacts, and objects that tell the story of early 20th-century life in Los Angeles.

The museum was built in 1910 to protect Los Angeles Harbor. Over 10,000 men were living on this base during World War I. During both World Wars, everyone who lived here had to have an official stamp on their permit so that they could enter and exit at will.
